The NeverTechLate Courses

Our programs have gone through extensive research in partnership with universities and are constantly evolving to match the needs of our students.

The Core Program

Safely accessing and discovering the digital world

This course is designed for adults in need of digital education who want to learn how to safely access and discover the digital world. After completing the NeverTechLate Core Program, students will have the necessary skills to safely navigate a tablet, perform basic web searches and make video calls.

Eight lessons of 75 minutes each will promote active learning, spark curiosity and build confidence. To ensure this, the program is continuously improved through pre and post surveys completed by students, measuring digital literacy and levels of social engagement.

The course takes place in classroom-like settings on clients premises and is delivered remotely by certified NeverTechLate coaches who have completed a 20-hour Train-the-Trainer program in combination with an on-site facilitator. The students will receive a binder with the lessons as well as a The NeverTechLate Guide to Digital Literacy.

The acquired skills enable students to confidently and safely engage and connect with their communities in new ways, and access critical information from financial, healthcare and government services.

Core Program Introduction

Additional Programs

Based on extensive surveys and qualitative interviews with our students, we have developed complementary courses which can be delivered at the same time as our Core Program or separately:

Email and Troubleshooting

This curriculum explores the advanced function of email platforms, focusing on Gmail, and solutions of common troubleshooting occurrences. The goal of this curriculum is to build further confidence in students in the use of advanced email features and their digital devices, while staying safe online.

Let’s Ride

We know that mobility is a crucial part of wellbeing and social connections. Building on our Core Program, this course teaches how to use mobility apps such as Uber & Lyft.

TeleHealth (Currently being developed)

Global demographic trends, as well as the pandemic’s impact on our healthcare system, have augmented our dependance on digital tools to access telehealth portals and services.

Lacking digital skills to navigate a medical portal for doctor appointments, video calls and other healthcare needs prevents equitable access to healthcare. The NeverTechLate team is conducting a needs-assessment to build a course to address this growing gap.
